A man has saved ‘a staggering amount’ of cars from the destructive force of a tornado.
Matthew Hines, 35, from Huddersfield, spent his life saving cars from severe storms and the impact of wind farms, and was a tireless volunteer who has also helped people who had to abandon their homes.
In August, he became a member of the UK’s Tornado Team, which is a volunteer group that works to bring the UK closer to an end to the devastating tornadoes and droughts that occur every year.
He was working as a mechanical weathering expert for a company called Autotraffic when the tornado struck his property.
“I was sitting in my shop in Huddarsfield when it started and there was this huge blizzard.
I was on the roof and I looked out the window and saw a massive hail storm coming down the side of my house.
I went to grab my umbrella and started to get out of the house but then all of a sudden the wind stopped and it just fell away,” he said.
It was like there was a massive cloud of snow and I could see it coming down.” “
As soon as I saw it I knew there was something wrong.
It was like there was a massive cloud of snow and I could see it coming down.”
Mr Hines worked as a mechanic for a car dealership in his spare time for over 20 years.
He said he was always worried about the weather.
“There’s no point in keeping your car when you can’t even see the road, let alone drive it,” he explained.
“My first instinct was to call my wife and tell her to come and put her brakes on, but I had no idea that it was going to rain.”
Mr Pugh, who lives in Derby, said Mr Hine’s rescue was a great example of how people can come together in the face of tragedy.
“Matthew is a true example of the power of human spirit and of perseverance.
He has given back a massive amount of vehicles to people who were in extreme danger.
Mr Hill said he believed Mr Hynson’s actions saved many lives. “
People that were getting on their bikes, and the weather was terrible, were getting stuck in a ditch, getting stuck on the road and that’s when I decided to go and help.”
Mr Hill said he believed Mr Hynson’s actions saved many lives.
I think what Matthew has done was show people that you can get through it. “
What he did was absolutely heroic, but the real thing is, the best thing you can do is go and try and do something to help people out.”
I think what Matthew has done was show people that you can get through it.
You can survive a tornado, but you can never walk away from the world, and you can only live in it.
“You need to keep going and try to do something positive to help the people that need you.
It’s a tough job, but he’s a hero and he’s done an amazing job.”
He said Mr Hill was grateful to Mr Hynes for helping him get through the ordeal.
“He was a really great man and he always tried to make sure that we were all OK,” he added.
‘You’ve got to be able to hold it in’ Mr Hill added that Mr Hysons actions were not only inspirational but also “tremendingly effective”. “
Then we had to go out to the car and go get a lift and we were on our way.”
‘You’ve got to be able to hold it in’ Mr Hill added that Mr Hysons actions were not only inspirational but also “tremendingly effective”.
“When you’re driving around the block and you’ve got the wind knocked out of you, and there’s a big car, it’s hard to get to, you’ve just got to keep holding it in, because it’s very difficult to move in the direction you want to go,” he told the ABC.
“But I think Matthew has got a lot more to learn and hopefully he can show people something similar that he can do for other people.”

Mr Hymes father, John Hynes, said his son was an inspiration to everyone who encountered the storm.
“He’s done something that’s quite extraordinary, I don’t know what else to say,” Mr Hlysons father said.
“The fact that people have taken the time to help him out, it just shows the power and determination he has.”
He added that while he would like to think of Mr Hyneys actions as “a miracle” he believed that many people did not realise how much they could do.
“It’s an example that people can really be really good at, and he just showed that,” Mr Hill told the BBC.
“The thing about Matthew is he
